Bea is in Cape Town! Message from John

Mum called this morning, from the back seat of a taxi in Cape Town!

The 'girls' (plus a young Australian woman, who is also on the six-week trip with Intrepid Travel) hired a taxi for the day and were touring the coastal areas etc...when their driver offered Mum the use of his cell phone to call me in Florida. 

They are having a wonderful time and all is well.

Bea is set to leave tomorrow

Grace, Jurian, Katie and I spoke to Bea this evening and she is all set to leave tomorrow (April 26). 


She sounded wonderful and super excited! She will be flying out tomorrow to London (9 hour flight) and then have a lay over in London for day. She indicated that she was going to take the tube into London and hopefully meet up with William & Kate before their big day on Friday. lol. After giving the future King & Queen of England some last minute advice on marriage she will be boarding a flight to Cape Town (11 hour flight). Once in Cape Town she will be getting ready to head out on April 28 on her trip across Africa. She will be traveling for 45 days, across 8 different countries and over 8000 kms. 


We are all excited here and look forward to following Bea's wonderful adventure.
